What it does
- Cuts where it counts. Slices at your Final Cut Pro edit points from an FCPXML, or auto-detects shots in raw footage when there is no edit yet.
- Culls the unusable. Blur, bad exposure and dead air get sorted out non-destructively, with the reason logged. Nothing is ever deleted.
- Splits long takes intelligently. A three-minute take becomes several distinct, stock-length clips instead of near-duplicate chunks agencies reject.
- Writes the metadata. Titles, descriptions and keywords generated by AI running on your own machine.
- Reframes metadata per audience. The same clip can carry different metadata for Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, or a niche agency, from one honest base.
- Exports agency-ready CSVs. Adobe Stock and Shutterstock formats out of the box.
- Publishes to your own store. Push clips straight to your own stock website, with early-access windows and pricing set per batch.
- Flags release risk. Clips with identifiable people are flagged so you know what needs a model release before submission.
- Handles slow motion. High-frame-rate footage conforms to slow motion on export automatically.
Why it is different
Stock submission tools treat your footage as loose files. Clip Up Pup starts where you actually work: the graded master and the edit. It is Mac-native, the AI runs locally, and it feeds both the agencies and the store you own.
In private beta Clip Up Pup is producing real agency submissions and stocking a real store today.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Final Cut Pro?
No. FCPXML gives frame-accurate cuts at your edit points, but raw mode detects shots automatically in any footage.
Where does the AI run?
On your Mac. Your clips are not uploaded to anyone’s cloud for tagging.
Which agencies does it support?
Adobe Stock and Shutterstock CSV exports today, plus a generic format and direct publishing to your own website.
