Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data fixitinpost.media collects, why, and what your rights are. The short version: we collect your email address only when you choose to give it to us, we use it to send you the things you asked for, and we never sell it.

Who we are

Fix It In Post (fixitinpost.media) is run by Reuben Mowle in the United Kingdom. For anything related to your data, reach us through the contact page.

What we collect and why

Newsletter and waitlist signups

When you subscribe to the Dispatch newsletter or join the toolkit waitlist, we store the email address you provide (and your name, if you give one), the date you signed up, and which form you used. This data is stored first-party on this website and is used only to send you the newsletter and product updates you signed up for. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

Comments

If you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comments form plus your IP address and browser user agent string, which helps with spam detection.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which articles people read and where visitors come from. This involves cookies and collects anonymised usage data. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can block analytics cookies in your browser or with a content blocker and the site will work exactly the same.

Cookies

Beyond analytics, this site sets only functional cookies: caching cookies that make pages load faster, and, if you comment, an optional convenience cookie that remembers your name and email for next time.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles may include embedded content such as YouTube videos. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embed.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. Your data is processed by the services that keep this site running: our hosting provider (Hostinger) and, for some transactional email, an email delivery provider. Each processes data only on our instructions.

How long we keep your data

Newsletter and waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognised automatically.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email deletion requests through the contact page and we will action them promptly. This does not include data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data goes

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Analytics data is processed by Google, which may transfer it outside the UK under standard contractual safeguards.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will note the change here. Last updated: 2 July 2026.
